CVS: The Rules
The Good:
- Very good sales
- ExtraCare Bucks (these print out when you buy something that qualifies, and can be used on a subsequent purchase.)
- Mostly clean, organized, well-lit stores
- Can “stack” a CVS coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon to get extra savings
- No restriction on the number of coupons that can be used based on the number of items you’re buying
- CVS gives rainchecks at the register for most sales (if they’re out of the item.)
The Bad:
- Need a CVS ExtraCare card for savings, but you can get a key card to put on your key ring.
- CVS keeps track of your purchases on your ExtraCare card, so no making separate trips to get more than your fair share of the deals for the week. (This is only a problem if you’re hoping to cheat the system.)
The Ugly:
- Sometimes run out of sale items early in the week.
